Yes! This is just how I see Ron too. All of our "good guys" have
flaws, of course; but I think Ron's make him more susceptible to V.
than anyone else's (except maybe Hagrid's—that blind loyalty thing
really worries me—but I digress.)

Anyway, as I see it, there are 3 main ways Ron's character could go
in the next books:

1.	Ever So Evil
I must admit, until the "Harry Potter & Me" special, my gut feeling
was toward this. Mostly because—it would be so _dark_. And I kind
of like dark. But when JKR introduced the world to her friend Sean,
saying Ron is based on him, and that they're both always there when
you need them—well, I changed my mind.

2.	Loyal But Dead
There have been a few clues towards this so far. Ron sacrificing
himself in the PS/SS chess game could be a foreshadowing of his
death. Then there's the wand thing—Ron's got unicorn hair -- like
the (dead) Cedric, and willow -- like the (dead) Lily. But, to me,
this just seems too obvious to come from the mind that gave us
Scabbers. Maybe the sacrifice & wand thing are just there to make us
_really_ worried about Ron's safety at some point?

3. Good, Loyal, but Used by the Dark Side
Now this is the Ron I expect to see; one with weaknesses that are
exploited. For folks who like to draw parallels between the Marauders
and the present generation, I am thinking of a Ron/Sirius parallel
here. Both are, IMO, good guys at heart; loyal; and hot-tempered.
(Is it just me, or can anyone else see Ron doing the Prank on Malfoy
if provoked?) Anyway, Sirius was used by V/Wormtail as a fall guy; I
predict Ron will be used in some way as well.

I know #2 & #3 aren't mutually exclusive, but still, my money's on #3.
