May I offer a 'thank you' to you (categorically)
nonetheless?  Having had a couple of editors in my day
that were gems, and more than few who couldn't resist
the urge to edit my *style* and thus need to be damned
to whatever hell they fear the most, I still
appreciate the work that most editors do, and that
usually goes unappreciated by pros and fen alike.

So...who knows?  When the author is re-redlining the
galleys, he/she might pause as I have and say, 'You
know...she's right!  I don't know why I didn't catch
that.'
