Do you assume that Ron would know it was Voldemort, if this
happened?

Because I can't see Ron willingly go along with anything
coming from LV, unless he was under a curse.

I don't think Ron wants money or fame any way he can get it.
To me it seems he wants it through something he does
himself, something "good".

He doesn't just want money or fame handed to him, he wants to earn
it, imo.
He doesn't want Harry or anyone else to just hand him a bag
of galleons.

In GoF, for example, he would have loved to enter the
contest and win the prize, but it would have been hard work
to get there.

And while Ron was really angry with Harry, he never did
anything to Harry besides not talking to him, withdrawing
his friendship (which was bad enough).

But he never wore one of those "Harry Stinks" buttons, or
side with Harry's enemies, or follow him around to say nasty
things.

I didn't like Ron's behavior at all in this book (though I
could understand it) and hope he
learned his lesson.
I really wouldn't enjoy this repeated over and over again.

And the sniping between Hermione and Ron started to
seriously get on my nerves.
If it wasn't Ron starting something, it was Hermione making
a nasty remark about something Ron said or did.

I hope they both get over whatever it is that's making them
behave like that.

Does it seem to anyone else that Ron is being dumbed down in
GoF?
He is written as very clueless, blurting out a lot of stuff
that doesn't make much sense.
It didn't strike me this way in the first 3 books.

Also, in a post I can't find anymore someone said Ron was
being weak, and one thing supporting this was the fact that
he couldn't resist the Imperius curse.

But as far as I read it, Harry was the only one who had any
success in resisting this curse.
All the other students couldn't.
Ron had more difficulties than Harry with this, but then so
did everyone else in the class.

Obviously, I like Ron <g>, though he has his bad moments,
but I don't see him as generally weak.
To me he seems to have a solid, good core, and I don't see
him throwing it all away.

If JKR decides to have him do something seriously harmful to
Harry or others, it would truly ruin the story for me.

<Sigh> I'm going to have to have someone pre-read the next book for
me <g>.
