I don't really care who Harry gets together with (shocking,
isn't it <g>), but I wanted to look at his qualities a little closer.
I agree that he is good (mostly, like everyone he has his
little moments) and normally kind and brave and smart.
The one thing I'm not sure about is how sensitive he is to
other's problems.
This probably stems from his growing up with the Dursley's
and his age,
but many times Harry seems a bit oblivious to what might be
going on in other people's lives (Ron, Neville for example).
He is surprised that he never wondered why Neville is living
with his grandmother and seems very surprised that Ron could
be jealous of *him* (understandable, looking at the way
Harry sees himself), and can't seem to understand why Ron is
upset when he finds out about the vanishing gold.
Though this may all change when he gets a bit older.
There probably aren't many kids who look past their own
selves at this age.

He might, but he might also be distant.
Or he may think he should not start a family because of his
dangerous life, unless the story ends with all evil having
been defeated for all times, and everyone living happily
ever after (which would surprise me).
