Having invested in both the Dale and the Fry renditions I have decided to
undertake listening to Dale read SS while I scan along with PS and listening
to Fry read PS while I scan SS and so on for the rest of the Potterverse.

Only then will I be sure that I have found all of the Englican/Amerish
substitutions that some well meaning but deluded editors believed necessary.

I would suggest, however, that whichever version one might chose to buy, the
listener will not be disappointed. He or she will surely learn something
that was missed in their own reading and gain some enjoyment and insight.

In this day of the TV and instant messages one forgets the power, mystery and
thrill of hearing a story teller weave magic with the human voice. Now if
only we were at the edge of the Forbidden Forest sitting toasting
marshmallows in that magic blue fire and listening . . .
