Crouch Sr. wasn't mad -- He just seemed to be to Harry becuase he
would plead to see Dumbledore one minute and issue executive orders to
a tree the next.  Harry didn't realize he was witnessing someone
fighting the Imperius Curse, going in and out of its grip.
