I don't think you're alone in feeling sorry for Frank Bryce.  I guess he's just one more of those good people who died 
because they had the misfortune of crossing paths with Voldemort.  Although you're right in saying the the real 
tragedy is how Voldemort destroyed his life and doesn't even know about it.  I don't think it's a coincidence that Frank 
is a WWII veteran - remember the reference to DD defeating a powerful dark wizard in 1945?  I think the fact that 
Frank was injured - physically and emotionally - during that war puts him firmly on the side of the angels.
