I totally agree - I wanted to mention Frank Bryce as my favorite non-
wizard character in that thread, but for some reason his last name 
wouldn't come to me - every time I thought Frank, Longbottom got in 
the way of remembering Bryce and I haven't had time to look it up.  
His story broke my heart.  It's so real - there are so many people in 
this world who live lonely misunderstood lives.  I think I almost 
felt sorry for young Tom Riddle at moments until I read about poor 
Frank, still working, plodding along through life, still brave and 
strong of will even after all he's been through because of Riddle.  
There's a definite nobility to pressing on through life when you 
*know* you're not in for much in the way of happiness or 
satisfaction.  When Voldemort just snuffed him out after all of that, 
I *did* shed a few tears, mostly at the thought that maybe nobody 
else would.  Yes, I'm a sentimental fool.
