Elkins:
> So what it seems to me that George really needs, if he is ever to
become a position, rather than merely a personification of Marina's
beliefs (however these may change over time) is a *Credo.* (...)
(He also desperately needs an acronym. But that's slightly beside
the point.)<

T.A.G.S. (Tabouli's Acronym Generation Service) was long at a loss to provide George with an acronym, as no-one in the office could figure out exactly who he was or what he believed. However, thanks to Elkins' sterling efforts at interrogating George during a seemingly innocuous babysitting session, I am happy to supply him with something which I *think* covers most of George's ethereal young body...

> As for the character in the most enviable position? Well, that
*would* have been Lucius -- rich, high status, attractive spouse,
healthy child. But, his muggle-hatred made him go sign up with
Snakeman, and I'd say he'll be lucky if he escapes with his life.<

Hmmmmm. Now, obviously Lucius doesn't qualify as a fan of Harry's (although... hmmm... maybe the reason why Draco hates Harry is that his father pays more attentiont to Harry than him...), but I do wonder what might happen if he died. Ahaa! Could we have a foreseeable catalyst for a big change in Draco? Lucius is the anchor of Draco's world, his moral compass and claim to status and money... take him out of the picture somehow and Draco might well feel lost and bitter. Maybe he could be a sociopath after all! Or maybe it will trigger an empathic revelation of how Harry, also fatherless has suffered (EWW), enabling the Reform so many seem to crave!

I've always been sceptical about The Draco Reformation myself. To my mind, one sneered warning to Hermione and one run-in with critical, inconsistent father do not a wronged-and-to-be-righted anti-hero make. Nonetheless, agnostic that I am, I am willing to reconsider if further evidence emerges...
