George is extremely happy to finally be legitimized with an acronym.
In fact, he's dancing on top of my coffee table with a lampshade on
his head. Get down from there, George. This is embarrassing, George.
You're scaring the cats, George. Watch out for the Ming vas-- oh,
hell, I knew this was going to happen.

> Hmmmmm. Now, obviously Lucius doesn't qualify as a fan of Harry's
(although... hmmm... maybe the reason why Draco hates Harry is that
his father pays more attentiont to Harry than him...), but I do wonder
what might happen if he died. Ahaa! Could we have a foreseeable
catalyst for a big change in Draco? Lucius is the anchor of Draco's
world, his moral compass and claim to status and money... take him out
of the picture somehow and Draco might well feel lost and bitter.
Maybe he could be a sociopath after all! Or maybe it will trigger an
empathic revelation of how Harry, also fatherless has suffered (EWW),
enabling the Reform so many seem to crave!

I think a lot would depend on the circumstances of Lucius' death. If
he was killed by one of the obvious good guys, like Lupin or
Dumbledore, it might push Draco to LV's side irrevocably. On the
other hand, Voldemort could kill Lucius himself, for insufficient
loyalty, or incompetence, or some similar reason; Voldemort seems
temperamental that way. In which case Draco might decide that maybe
joining up with this guy isn't such a hot idea. The question then is,
would Draco take this as an opportunity to join Dumbledore's side, or
would he strike out on his own and become a loose cannon? Or, seeing
how Draco has not shown himself to be particularly brave, would he
just crawl under a convenient rock and try to lie low until this whole
current unpleasantness blows over?
