Harry's home in Godric's Hollow

The consensus about Potter's home in Godric's Hollow is that it has 
been ruined, completely collapsed, destroyed, devastated, leveled and 
such and such. 
      Early in SS, there are two different accounts of that house: 
Petunia won't leave Harry home alone, she says "..Come back and find 
the house in ruins?" Harry replies, "I won't blow up the house." It 
seems that refers to the Godric's Hollow house. In the first chapter, 
Hagrid appears on Privet and tells Dumbledore the Potter's home "was 
almost destroyed...". For Hagrid to say the house was "almost 
destroyed" doesn't paint the catastrophic picture of the roof falling 
in and the house falling down. 
        So, is there someplace where it says that the house 
completely collapsed in the battle with LV? If so, is Hagrid telling 
Dumbledore the house was "almost destroyed" an error? (Not trying to 
speculate on Hagrid. The accounts and timelines of that night and the 
next day(s?) are not very consistent, and the account of the house 
seems the same.)
