Mountains=the "new place" ?

Hi!
I've lately been attempting to plot out what I think will happen in 
the whole of book 5, to stave off despair of it will actually ever be 
published. Anyway, I am of the opinion that Hagrid will be the one 
to die, and I figure that if JKR is going to kill off one of her 
personal favorite characters, she will most likely give him some 
major "screen time" first. What better way to do that than give 
Hagrid his own major subplot with the giants, in the mountains? 
What I haven't figured out yet is a plausible time and reason for 
Harry to go to the mountains with him? Does anyone have any 
ideas about this? I think that "giant land" would be a very 
interesting place to see!
