De-lurking here.
Here are my thoughts on this one.
1. Crouch has been under the Imperius Curse for many years now (Let's
assume about 10 - I don't have GOF with me to check.) and it might
just feel good to put someone else under it other than his father.
Also, IMO, he may have had some sort of contact with Wormtail and LV
and was feeding his master information about the strength of his
nemesis.
2. DD wanted him (Moody that is) to teach the students what it felt
like so that they would have a chance to fight it.
Well here ya go - what do you think?
