Here are a few short remarks, with lots of snips. Just pulled out those things that sparked a thought or two...

When the CoS was built eons ago, maybe that room wasn't a girls bathroom. We know that it definitely was when Tom was around, because of MMyrtle crying in there when she died. Maybe Tom knew he needed to have his diary in the hands of a girl because of it being a girls bathroom 50 years ago.
Speaking of Parselmouth, if Harry got some bits of Voldemort in him through the AK, wouldn't Ginny have bits of V. in her still and be able to speak it as well by the same token?
(sounds like a really bad name for a cereal...Voldemort Bits, part of your completely evil breakfast...mwahahahah)
When Tom/V basically took over her body, something had to have stayed behind. I know the diary wasn't as strong of Dark Magic as the AK, but it's still very bad, I would think. In fact, wasn't she the one who opened it during Harry's time, with Tom speaking through her? If Harry can speak it still, why not Ginny too?
We don't know enough about Ginny to see if she still can speak snake, but I'm sure (imo) that bits of V. stayed with her. For instance, she has a very negative reaction to the dementors on the train in PoA, more than any of the others in the compartment except Harry (Neville's reaction is almost as bad as hers, but some conjecture this is because he doesn't *remember* his experience with Vapor Voldie in him as a baby). We assume it's because of Harry fainting from his first dementor encounter, but we don't know for sure. Maybe when the dementors are around she hears Tom laughing at her, or experiences all those horrible things she did without knowing it. I guess Ginny being a parselmouth or not will come out in the other books, as I know JKR said she will play a bigger role in the other books.

LOL! Secret Garden is just ripe (excuse the pun) for the filking! There is also the song about "Lily's Eyes" that's just screaming for filk ("He has her eyes, he has Lily's bright green eyes") and there are ghosts floating all around Mistlethwaite Manor...the trio of Mary, Dicken and Colin....go for it, Coriolan! Love your filksongs!

<<<Another Dumbledore related mystery which I'd like to bring up: If he
<suspected Tom Riddle back when he was a transfiguration teacher, why
<didn't he do something about that? Seems to fit into this discussion,
<but I have no real ideas on the subject.>>>
MAGIC DISHWASHER Dumbledore wasn't as omniscient back then as he is now. Plus, he had no solid evidence, but enough to keep tabs on Tom to know that he became Voldemort later. Interestingliy enough, seems like D is the only one who knew Tom is Voldemort.

<<<There is speculation that the Order of the Pheonix

<This gives each O of P member additional power should they ever meet

Makes total sense. That way all the wands would have the brother wand effect...Brilliant!

<are significant. Except, oddly (or not so oddly) the main character.
<lol (Ever read that list of "Shortest Books Inspired by HP"? It's riot!
<"My Life Before Hogwarts" by Hermione Granger!)>>>
Maybe this is too OT, but could you let us know where to find that funny shortest books list??

(who thinks that the mods are allowing some trace amounts of OT and old topics--they're all new to me, however--because we're hashing and rehashing all the books over and over and over again, waiting patiently for OoP)
