I'm combining a whole pile of posts here, hope it doesn't get too confusing
for you!

Well just last night I was flipping through PoA looking for a Lupin quote
and reread the Quidditch match where Malfoy and co. dress up as dementors.
The image of Malfoy and his buddies lying in a heap under robes with
McGonagall standing over them lecturing and taking points from Slytherin is
hilarious!

I've been wondering when the books are going to come back to Ginny's adverse
reaction to the dementors--no one seemed really concerned with her (other
than Hermione putting her arm around her) while they're all busy fawning
over Harry laying on the floor. Even sending owls ahead to Hogwarts to tell
them Harry'd taken ill on the train. Of course we follow Harry's encounters
with dementors throughout the book and experience them with him, but I
suppose we're just supposed to assume everything about Ginny is from the
CoS.

I'm pretty much convinced that the if it's not Hagrid who dies in Book 5 it
will be a Weasley. Not sure which one, I'd always thought Ginny before, but
now that the topic of the snowballs has come up I'm beginning to think it
could be either Fred or George. Not both, I don't think. But whoever lives
would be quite changed by the loss of his twin brother.

Or if Dumbledore dies. I think McGonagall is definitely first in line for
Head of Hogwarts after Dumbledore. I like the thought of Arthur Weasley as
MoM.

I don't think Fudge is evil either. Short sighted, narrow minded, self
centered, and too scared to admit when it comes to something he can't handle
(such as Voldemort's return).

Where is this at? I somehow manage to miss it every time I look. I have
the U.S. versions if anyone knows right off--sorry for being so dumb!

I've been thinking on this red hair thing a lot lately. I'm wondering if
it's a connection somehow between Lily and the Weasleys. Or Dumbledore for
that matter. But with the Weasleys ALL having such prominant red hair, it
seems like it should mean something for sure!

--flower names--

The topic of flower names was discussed quite a bit a while back, and I
stumbled across a site that listed meanings of various flowers. The Petunia
of course, was listed only once with it's meanings as "Resentment, Anger."

The Lily on the other hand, had many different meanings based on type or
color.

The white Liy is "Virginity, Purity, Majesty"

The eucharis Lily is "charms." (which reminds me that Olivander noted that
Lily's first wand had been good for charms)

The orange Lily is "hatred." Okay, so Lily Potter isn't orange. But she
did have red hair, and a good many people call red hair "orange" especially
if they don't like them. Just makes me wonder if she possibly hated Petunia
has Petunia hated her?

Not necessarily. For example, I collect baseball cards. Of the particular
brand I'm collecting I have a checklist. I go through, put my little
checkmarks, sometimes don't even pay attention to the name, just the number.
Then I check the list and notice the names I am missing. I certainly can't
tell you every player I have, but I can name a lot more that I'm missing.
