Fawkes the pheonix has PERVIOUSLY only given up two pheonix feathers,
since Fawkes is still alive, as pheonix's tent to be imortal, he is
still available to give up more feathers.

Also see post number 40938 for the complete text of my original statement.

On a side note, please file this under the DUH! column. Only yesterday
when I read Dumbledore refer to the day that Fawkes burst into flames
an was reborn as Burning Day, did I make the association between
Fawkes' Burning Day, and the British hoiday of Guy Fawkes Burning Day.
WELL DUH!

Correct me if I'm wrong, the 'Brother' effect only occurred when they
threw simultanious curse, or curses that we thrown so close together
that they met in mid-air and caused the brother effect.

If my assumption is correct, Voldemort, as we have seen, can curse
Harry, and logically Harry can curse Voldemort. It's only when they
tried to curse each other that the 'brother' effect takes place. So,
while it wouldn't give everyone complete immunity; it would give the
an extra level of defensive protection. In a sense, they could use it
like a shield to block Voldemort's curses. It still has limitations
and we don't know the whole story yet, but something is better than
nothing.

Of course, speculation on the the 'Order of the Pheonix' is all about
it rampant, but I like this concept. But, I guess, we'll all just have
to wait and see.
