Richelle pondered:

>Well, I finally went back in PoA and found where the Dementor was performing

>the Dementor's kiss on Harry. Which explains why I was confused--all that
time
>travel business. Here we go: Can someone explain (or attempt to!) why he
was
>doing so? Or speculate?

Some speculations.

They were getting kinda hungry having to hang out
around the edges of Hogwarts and given the least bit
of permission to be on the grounds--going after black--
they kinda went nuts and were going to go after anyone
and everyone that was there.

OR

They were working with LV. They may know Harry
was part of his downfall, and it's a vengeance thing.

>Second question, how did Harry get away from the dementor to get back to
>Hogwarts to wake up in the Hospital wing to go back in time to save himself
and
>the others? Anyone able to understand this whole time travel thing? Or
>attempt to clear up my muddled mind?

The dementors were driven off by Harry version 2.0's Patronus.

Snape came to about the time that happened, magicked up
some stretchers and took the Trio up to the hospital wing.

Then Laila asked:
>Fudge had said that the guards said
>that black had been talking in his sleep saying "he's
>at Hogwarts". Well, what puzzled me is this---- I
>cannot recall if the dementors can talk or not. Or are
>there other guards at Azkaban? Guardsto oversee the
>dementors perhaps?

Precisely how they communicate with wizards isn't
really discussed in the book IIRC, but since they can
be given orders, presumably there is some sort of
communication/language that works with them.
