Does anyone have any ideas on the role Quidditch is going to play in the next few books? In GoF, Quidditch (not counting World Cup) was almost non-existent because of the Triwizard Tournament...but Harry did use his flying skills to beat the others in the first task with the dragons.

Remember how important the House Cup was in the first books, then as they grew older (& had more serious things to think about) it wasn't so important? Do you think that Quidditch could have a similar fate? Has it been done to death?

Or is Quidditch actually going to become more important in some way... Harry somehow using his flying skills to battle Voldemort? (hmm) Or just to take his mind off things and so on, be a happy Patronus memory?

Orrrr..... will Quidditch just linger in the background, coming up every now and then but not really crucial to the plot?

The only thing I can think of in terms of predictions is that JKR said in some interview or other that the new Gryffindor captain would surprise us...

Any ideas?

Rosie
