IMO, Quidditch hasn't been "done to death". But unless Harry becomes
captain of Gryffindor, there isn't anything new about the Quidditch
cup. I mean Gryffindor already won it in PoA, thus breaking
Slytherin's winning streak as they did with the House Cup in PS.

As for Harry being Gryffindor's captain: I think that's very likely
to happen because he's the only member of the team who isn't in 7th
year and therefore (with the new keeper) will be the core of the new
team in the years ahead.

>(hmm) Or [Quidditch will be there] just to take his mind off things
and so on, be a happy Patronus memory?

I think that's more likely... and I sincerely hope that Sirius gets
cleared as soon as possible and thus provides Harry with happy
memories other than Quidditch.

surprise us...

Oh, I didn't know that but I don't really follow the interviews. But
who'd be really a surprising captain? The only thing that would
really surprise me is if it were the new keeper... If the Weasley-
twins put just half as much work into Quidditch as they do with their
pranks they could come up with some amazing tactics. And the 3
girls... Well, it would be time a girl/woman took the center-stage in
the HP-books.

But I still don't see that happen and stick with my opinion of Harry
being the next captain. Unless he refuses and offers Ron who could be
the new keeper the captainship because of his tactical skills... *g*
