To my knowledge, Harry hasn't been wrong about the emotional states
he witnesses. The meanings BEHIND those emotions trip him up -- Snape
is the best example of this -- but he has a pretty good eye.

So much so, that I think this PoV thing is still hard to define. It's
entirely from Harry's PoV, but that doesn't mean we're still not
getting an omniscient beings' descriptions of the scenes.

If all one has to do to be good teacher is chant a spell once, use
it, and then essentially say: "repeat," then I take it all back.
Snape is a good teacher. Because he didn't do anything else to show
the students expelliarmus.

And putting him in touch with Parselmouth is a reach to say the
least. One then has to buy into the "Snape multi-tasking" theory that
says Snape KNEW what would happen, wanted it to happen, and has to
foresight to know that by the end of the year, Harry will be the one
traipsing down into the Chamber.

Because otherwise, it's just a side effect of Snape wanting to
torture Harry a little bit by teaching Draco a dangerous spell.

he wasn't a poor little Goth boy?
