Now that I think about it, I'm 99% sure that the chasers are the same
year as Fred and George - Book 5 will be their last year. How weird
will that be in Book 6 when Harry is the only one there from the
original Quidditch team?

I like the idea of Hermione being on the team, although so far she
doesn't seem terribly into it, at least not compared to fanatics like
Harry and Ron. (and she's awfully busy already...) But I think that
Hermione would certainly be a surprise, and it would be very cool to
see her on the team. It would be kind of sad for Ron, perhaps,
though, with both Harry and Hermione on the team and him still not
doing anything he feels special about...
I guess it might also make Ron feel bad if Ginny were on the team. I
think that would be very very cool, though, to see her on the team.
It seems more likely to me then Hermione, since Hermione is so busy
already with all her schoolwork. To me, Hermione seems like a
character we already know a whole lot about, and none of it has
indicated and interest or a talent for Quidditch. Ginny we know
relatively nothing about, besides her run-in with Tom Riddle. If she
turned out to be a fabulous flyer, it would seem plausible that we
were never aware of it before. Or at least more plausible. (well,
whatever, I'm sure JKR will handle it just fine.) But either
Hermione or Ginny would seem sufficiently surprising to me.
Why not Ron on the team though? There's no reason he wouldn't be, it
just feels wrong in my gut. (sorry I have no canon to back that up,
it is merely instinct-based)
On the subject of Hermione being busy, do you think she will keep up
SPEW, or some form of her work for house-elves? It's not like at the
end of GoF there was some sort of closing thing that ended the house-
elf issue for Hermione. I wonder...
