Why? Why wouldn't the postal service just give a collective "Mwhahahah. More money for us." and leave it at that? I've seen people put on extra stamps (although nothing like what Molly Weasley did)for "just-in-case" (I live in a very small town, and people here do some funny things in the name of "just-in-case") and the letters never got returned. Hmm.

As for the Hagrid debate:

As would I. ^_^ But he's not teaching a "Hagrid's Top-10 List"...he's teaching a general Care of Magical Creatures class, and if I have any one problem with his teaching, it's that he doesn't vary his ciriculum enough. The Hippogriffs were good. The Flobberworms were a massive waste of *ALOT* of time. I guess you could call the Skrewts challenging, but it's not like the students are ever going to encounter them again (as Hagrid bred them himself and they seem to be unable or unwilling to breed)...and again, he spent WAY too much time on them. The unicorns were good, as were the nifflers. But still..that's 5 creatures in 2 years. *If* you can even count Hippogriffs b/c his lesson plan got cut short. And I don't know if Flobberworms really count either, because -- I mean, honestly, what did the students learn studying them, besides to leave well enough alone?

Now take a look at the other teachers. In Transfiguration, Potions, and Charms they seem to cover a new topic every 1-3 days...at *least* every week. Lupin makes similar headway, despite his sickness.

I'd say Hagrid still has a lot to learn about being a teacher. And as much as I *loathe* Snape, as a dedicated student I'd have to say I'd rather be in his class. (Although as a human being with feelings and emotions and all that, definitely not ^_~)
