Wow... interesting theory <g> We do know that Neville's gran is a formidable woman, and we could take that to mean she doesn't take guff from anyone, whether it's from Neville or Death Eaters. Of course, her authority may be undermined by the tall hat with the stuffed vulture on it (and I'm sure Snape will resent her all the more for that.)

I'm not sure if it's a running 'gag', so much as it how these kids are being woefully underprepared to defend themselves against the DAs, which is something one assumes they're going to need. In PS/SS, Quirrell's lessons were mostly a joke amongst the students and Lockhart spent his time doing dramatic re-enactments. Of the four, Lupin and Moody were the only viable 'professionals' and actually had something of significance to impart to their students -- although, as we know, they definitely aren't what they seem, and Barty Crouch Jr. isn't the kind of person I'd want teaching *my* kids, no sir.

Hey, count me in! That's the one relationship I honestly can't see happening. Unless, of course, it was Opposite Day (in which case, things would go back to normal the day after.)

Or how about old tires? <g>
