>>Just curious as to what you all feel would be a logical course of
action for
Dumbledore at the end of GoF? My personal thoughts are that he
obviously
needs to form some alliances with the Giants, as is evidenced (as we
all
know, of course) by asking Hagrid at the end of GoF to go off with
Olympe,
i.e. "Madame Maxine to you," and talk to the Giants.>>
Yes, and I'm rather anxious to see how that turned out. Were Hagrid
and Olympe able to convince the Giants that Voldemort is *not* the
one that's going to help them? I think a strong possibility is that
they did. In fact, did Madame Maxime even *go* with Hagrid? It was
never definately decided that she was going with him, though I think
she did.
Vanessa:
>>And I fully agree with
him that the dementors need to be gotten rid of. I shudder to think
what
could happen if they remain at Azkaban!>>
Yes, but how could Dumbledore get them out? It's pretty obvious, by
the way Fudge acted at the end of GoF, that even suggesting such a
thing is not on his To Do List. So I don't see how Dumbledore can
get the dementors removed. Infact, in the next few(or even just the
next) books, the Azkaban problem could be one that gets dealt with.
Vanessa:
>>Is he[Snape] going back to Voldemort, again as spy at "a great
personal risk" or is
he heading some place else?>>
I don't know about this. I never have really liked this theory.
Snape has been working as Dumbledore's right hand man for...well, we
know for *sure* he's been doing so for 4 years, but he's more than
likely been there longer than that. How can he go back to
Voldemort? I mean, Voldemort isn't...well, he's not *totally*
stupid. And Voldemort atleast knows Dumbledore isn't, so I don't see
how he can accept a DE that's been working so closely with
Dumbledore, and infact still is, for all we know.
~Aldrea, who thinks you did fine on your first post, Vanessa.
