Maybe the room isn't *always* full of chamber pots, but was on that
particular morning because that's what Dumbledore was looking for (more
or less) at that moment. He DID make a joke about it being able to be
found only by people with very full bladders ... maybe the secret is that
it's only able to be found by people who really need something?
It *is* the sort of thing JKR would do to us ... give us a completely
obvious "throw away" joke and then turn it into an important plot point
in the next book (or so) while we're all still laughing.
