It's hard to tell--people are getting disarmed left and right in that
scene--but I'm pretty sure Sirius wasn't using his own wand. He
probably managed to get his hands (paws?) on Ron's at first, although
he might have snagged Snape's once the latter had been knocked out.
One would assume that when someone gets life in Azkaban, their wand
is broken. After all, that's what happened to Hagrid, and he was
only expelled from school. I'm guessing that Sirius can probably get
a new wand with Dumbledore's help now, though.
