Thank you! THAT is why I spent an hour searching through bits of
GoF. I -swear- I read somewhere that Krum is still in school because
he can only do half a year, what with playing for Bulgaria. And,
depending on how long he's been playing for Bulgaria, he could have
more schooling left to do...which means he *could* go to Hogwarts as
a student. But I can't seem to find it anywhere in GoF. Maybe I
read it in QTtA? Hmm...possible, but unlikely. I guess next time I
re-read GoF, I'll have to keep an eye open for that.

Now there's an interesting question! What house would Krum be sorted
into? Wouldn't it just be horrible for Gryffindor if he got put in
Slytherin, and Harry had to face him on the Quidditch field? But I
don't know. Krum must be somewhat ambitious for him to have gotten
so far in Quidditch at such a young age...but he doesn't seem quite
like the Slytherins we know. And is he brave enough for Gryffindor?
It took him, what, half a school year just to work up enough courage
to talk to Hermione. And he was pretty derned leery of sticking
around with Mr. Crouch(Sr.) near the edge of the forest. But then
again, the risk he takes everytime he performs a Wronski Feint, or
heck, just getting on that broom and flying near those bludgers...
But Krum seems like a Hufflepuff or a Ravenclaw candidate to me(which
I *like*, because if he goes to Hogwarts and gets sorted into one of
those, maybe we'll finally learn more about these houses![speaking of
which, why don't the Gryffindors have any classes with Ravenclaw?
They've had Potions with Slytherin forever, Herbology with the
Hufflepuffs...and unless I'm mistaken, *nothing* with Ravenclaw-
why?]). He was a good sport about everything, he approached Harry to
get confirmation on his feelngs for Hermione instead of just picking
a fight; he complimented Harry on his flying skills; he didn't even
talk bad about Karkaroff, IIRC, even after the guy had tucked tail
and deserted them. And you could say him taking a full bludger to
the face and yet still going on shows a great deal of dedication and
loyalty. But, then, back to the library thing- he spent half the
year in there, and he wasn't just goggling at Hermione the whole tme,
he was actually *studying*, or pretending to. Krum could be the
quiet studious type, and thus be a possible Ravenclaw. He flies like
a raven, but he seems to move like a badger. So who knows what he is!
~Aldrea (While looking through GoF, I kept getting sidetracked
because I'd start just reading the book instead of searching for
Krum...infact, the very last bit of GoF held my attention for quite
awhile, and the part where Mrs. Weasely hugs Harry nearly had me in
tears, yet again. =P)
