I'm sorry, but I think that's stretching it a bit further than is
possible. McG says in SS/PS that they're sorted into houses which
will be like their family while they are there. I see no evidence
that anyone has switched houses. I'm not saying it isn't possible,
but why go through the effort of having the Sorting Hat look into
their minds to find out which house they are best suited for to have
them switch somewhere in the middle of the seven years? That just
doesn't make sense. James Potter was in Gryffindor... and until JKR
says something entirely different in either an interview or in the
coming books (should they ever arrive) so was Sirius, Lupin, and
Pettigrew.
