However, I believe it was in PoA that Hermione herself was giggly. The 
passage goes something like:

'They headed down to breakfast, where Mr. Weasley ..... and Mrs. Weasley was 
telling Hermione and Ginny about a love potion she's made as a young girl. 
All three of them were rather giggly.'

This shows that Hermione may not always look down on scenarios like that. 
For one, love potions are illegal, and for another, this is a stiuation in 
which Hermione shows that she can "kick back" a little bit. Maybe she has 
some friends from Ravenclaw that we don't know about.
