My Two Cents and much much more! =)

You guys have already asked the question: Will Snape get the DADA job
in book 5?-- and i agree on the most part with your answers.

JKR has already mentioned that Lupin is coming back, but in what
aspect of "coming back" is still unknown. In other words: he's
supposed to come back but we have no idea WHAT exactly he's going to
be doing.

Reports have also suggested that the next professor for DADA will be
female, so book 5 is probably out of the question. (thanks to WHOWHO
for posting this. I'm not sure who posted it, but thanks =))

We all know the running gag with the books is having the DADA teacher
only last for a year. This probably means that book 6 is out of the
question, since Snape is pretty much the most important teacher at
Hogwarts. Harry has to continue his loathing for Snape, since it
makes for interesting reading--well, in my opinion any way.

I would guess that book 7 will be the time for Snape to get the DADA
teaching possition. Dumbledore will be out of ideas and find it
easier to get a Potions teacher, rather than a Dark Arts professor.
The Dark Arts will probably be stronger, since Voldy's back and no
one will really want to take on the job of teaching how to defend
them. Snape could probably hold his own, though explaining to Voldy
about WHY he's teaching how to stop the dark arts, rather than
contineu them, is going to be a toughie.

But alas, that is for another day =)
