Whoa!  That never occurred to me at the time!  Of course, they had 
already saved Buckbeak, kind of.  If things are consistant (meaning, 
Harry saw himself cast the patronus, etc.) then they were already 
there, saving Buckbeak.  Wow.  Hmm.  I wonder if it's a mistake, that 
she just didn't think about what she was writing.  Time travel stuff 
can confuse anyone.  Unless of course, there's some sort of hidden 
meaning.  Good for you for noticing that!
