I'm wondering about the fact that Voldy has red eyes and red is the
color of Harry's favorite curse - expelleromus.  Is this all
coincidence?  Red isn't a normal color for human eyes, I wonder if
Voldy had red eyes before the rebirth?

I don't think enough has been said about the eye color, spell color
coincidences to speculate intelligently, but it is interesting. I
suppose that part of Harry's protection from Avada Kevada is that he
inherited his mother's green eyes and was probably staring right at
Voldy when he let loose with the AK.  Could this be the protection
Lily provided him?  This makes her defense of Harry more passive
unless there is a "green eyes" charm.
