Oh, yes, there's a big mystery about Harry's mother's green eyes.  JKR said
so herself, I think in a television interview.  Anyway, she said the color
of Harry's eyes was important, something he doesn't know yet.  We all know,
of course, that he got those eyes from his mother, as we are constantly
reminded, Harry "looks just like his father--except for his mother's green
eyes."  JKR has also said that something huge about Lily will be revealed,
whether these two are related or not, I don't know.  But there is definitely
a mystery in those green eyes.
