There are still a lot of old-fashioned wind-up or self-winding
watches available. That's the first possible answer.
I agree, I think that the watches are mechanical. Those can last a long while too, longer than then digital ones. Personally, I see wizards using a lot of muggle-like objects as long as they don't involve using electricity, but work on simple (or not so simple) mechanics.
