One of my favorites--mostly because it caught me completely off-guard-
-is the part during the QWC in GoF, with the wizard in the muumuu 
(can't recall his name) refusing to wear pants because he "liked to 
feel a nice breeze around his privates." :-o  Besides conjuring up an 
amusing yet rather disturbing mental picture, I was simply surprised 
that Rowling got away with it! (Given that it takes very little to 
p*ss off some parents anymore)
