Whether Harry Did the Right Thing with the expelliarmus is questioned
in canon, even by Harry. No sooner has Snape done a face plant than
Sirius tells Harry "you should have left him to me" and Harry can't
look at Sirius because he's suddenly not sure it *was* the right thing
to do.

I have nothing to add here. It's just so good I thought I'd leave it in.

Now that I'm at it, I'd like to say that I've been aboard the Fourth
Man kayak since its deployment lo these many weeks ago. You just
haven't seen me because I was stuffed in the extreme front end of the
kayak, where people's feet go, frantically bailing water out of the
bottom with a tea strainer. Yes, I have been supporting Fourth Man
(straight up, please) with VIBES rather than "me too" posts, which
must count for something.

However, when we make the move to the inflatable raft, you will have
to cut open the kayak to get me out. (I'll be in physical therapy for
a bit while trying to get my backbone to stop forming a nearly perfect
question mark.)
