Since I have neither the US or UK original hardback editions, I can't offer a resolution - is there anyone out there who has these editions who can help? <snip>

Since I have the US hardback, I looked it up. The original whole paragraph about Dobby and Lucious is in my edition of the book. I don't have the UK editions (yet) so I can't tell if they are in there. Anyone else have the original UK hardbacks?
