Wand Symbolism

I have been following all the posts about the symbolism of the wood 
of the wands, and I found it fascinating. According to a web site, 
holly (Harry's wand) symbolizes protection, anti-lightning, luck and 
dream magic. I don't know about that anti-lighting part, because 
Harry does have that lightning scar. Dream magic works: Harry's dream 
at the beginning and end of GoF could fit. 
Voldemort's wand is made of yew, which supposedly relates to raising 
the dead. Any thoughts?
Finally, Lily's mahogany wand is also anti-lightning and mountains? I 
am not sure how wood symbolizes mountains, but thats what the site 
says.
