I think he did. Dumbledore stalled McNair when he was about to go
outside to execute Buckbeack. This was just enough time for Harry to get
away. I suspect that Dumbledore may have spotted Harry through the
window of Hagrid's hut. If he didn't, it was either a coincidence, or he
knew Harry needed a little bit of extra time. Since I'm not a big fan of
the theories that explain how he could have known about it, I prefer to
think that he just spotted Harry :)
