I'd almost forgotten that part, but I'm not surprised she
didn't succeed.

After all, it wasn't a very extensive explanation ;)

Unless Hermione got lessons later on, I doubt she could do
much better now.

It took Harry quite a few tries before he was able to do
this.

I wonder at what level Hogwarts *does* start teaching their
students how to defend against dementors.
Or could this be something that isn't taught at school at
all and you have to take private lessons to learn it later?
