Yes. It's the same as with young kids (age 2-6), who often don't want to
eat. There are two aproaches: one advice parents to force them to eat,
and other one states: "in home where is plenty of food, child can't
starve."
I also would like to point out, that Hogwarts is a completely controlled
enviroment, in fact it is similar to prison -- you can't leave when you
want. And 11 years olds should be enough self-sufficient.
