Wouldn't that be a normal reaction?  I mean kids tend to say exactly 
what they mean.  Ron's response is definately something a teenager 
would say.  Harry does "get away with stuff."  And Ron has said it in 
a very happy moment, "Punching the air".  It was not said in a mean, 
dispirted way.
