A good explanation for how Voldemort got his wand back, too.

This could also tie into the theory that Frank Longbottom witnessed 
the attack on the Potters.  (Cross reference: thread starting with 
#77595 / Witness to LV attack on Harry at Godric's Hollow).  If both 
Pettigrew and Frank Longbottom witnessed the attack, that would 
explain why the Death Eaters thought the Longbottoms knew where 
Voldemort was - Pettigrew would have told them he saw Frank there.  
Possibly Pettigrew hid so that Frank didn't see him, but he saw 
Frank.
