Wolfsbane and vampires

I read a HP quiz book with questions about the 1-3 book (It's a 
Danish book, and I don't think it's available in English), and there 
was a question saying "What creature does wolfsbane protect against? 
Yetis, vampires or trolls?" and the answer was "vampires"...but 
where is that mentioned in the books? 
And if it's true, then the vampire!Snape-theory is useless, since he 
as a vampire wouldn't be able to make the wolfsbane potion, right?
