I still am intrigued by the mention on the date on the back of DD's
chocolate frog that he defeated Grindelwald in 1945. I know many
have speculated that this either was Hitler or was connected to
WWII, and I agree to the latter. My question (and I have searched
the archives briefly but not all 87000ish!) is there a connection
between Grindelwald and Tom Riddle? Riddle was at Hogwarts at the
time, or immediately preceding. Could this be the reason TR/LV is
afraid only of DD? I just have a hard time accepting the
possibility that he simply was afraid of his Transfiguration
Teacher.
