Derek:
I suspect it's a combination of two things.  One is the goodness of his
heart.  He doesn't want to see her tortured to reveal information that
she, after all, cannot reveal (because she doesn't remember it).

Two, I think he's keeping her under wraps in case she makes additional
useful prophecies.  If she were to make another prophecy about LV and
HP, and only HP's side got to hear it, that would give their side a
definite advantage.
