Heh. Literally!  From OotP Chapter 27 (page 619 in the U.S. edition):

"Yes, sir, I think so, sir!" said Percy eagerly, whose nose was
splattered with ink from the speed of his note-taking.

Chortle!  Was that *brown* ink, I have to wonder??  :-D
