I saw a TV program on something similar: a guy spent six months 
watching tapes of a game show till he worked out the mathematics of 
the prize board. The he got himself on the game show and won over 
$100,000. The network didn't want to pay him (this was back in 1984 
when 100G was big money) but in the end they had to admit he hadn't 
cheated.

We know the twins are experts in Potions, Charms and Transfiguration 
(the Skiving Snackboxes, the swamp, the fireworks). Maybe they just 
did the math, I mean the Arithmancy...

I'd hate to think the twins did something crooked, or worse, used a 
cheap plot device like a time turner.
