House Ghosts (was The Bloody Baron's identity)

Good point, though I would assume that Salazar Slytherin and the Bloody Baron 
are not one and the same, simply because I believe everyone would know it if 
he was.

This thought provoking post brings to mind a question... But I'll preface it 
with some notions. I would guess that a disembodied spirit will eventually 
make its way beyond to the next plane of existence, if indeed it does not 
hang around the mortal plane forever. Would this, then, give ghosts something 
to aspire to? Namely, can a ghost hope to one day be the House Ghost of 
Hogwarts (or any other organization, for that matter)? My intended question, 
therefore, is: Will Moaning Myrtle eventually become a house ghost? And if 
so, to which house did she belong?
