No matter if she supposedly had been in the Hall or on her way to the Gryffindor 
common room, the toilet she was in wasn't the closest. Going to a far away one can't be 
explained by a real need or by the real state she was in.

Again, she neither had the time nor was in the perfect state of mind to think up a very 
good lie. And maybe she just didn't want to admit one nasty comment is enough to 
make her cry. Being overconfident in her magical abilities is fault she might consider 
more suiting to herself. ^_~

Well, the boys worried enough to go and find her, but not enough to yell "Percy, 
Hermione's in danger!" to get the help of someone more able to confront a troll? 
Doesn't really fit in Hermione's "I was dumb and they were brave" lie, since the boys 
were just as dumb.

It worked well enoug, so why worry? Worrying about something like this is for fans 
desperate to keep their mind's busy because it's still that long till the next book is 
released... ^_~
